We've offered up a lot of advice and tips over the past four months, and now I'm hoping that some of our readers can return the favor. In just a few short weeks school will be starting, and for the first time I'll have two in school. My oldest will be in 1st grade and go for a full day, but my second oldest will be in kindergarten which is still a half-day program here. I believe he'll be attending in the morning, but we haven't received our confirmation postcard yet.
As you can imagine, this is going to really disrupt my schedule having to get them off to school, stop at noon-ish to watch for the bus, and then stop again in the afternoon to wait for the oldest. While these are already kind of natural break points, there always seem to be added distractions that prevent me from transitioning smoothly back into my work mode.
I'm hoping that maybe some of you work-at-home moms and dads out there that have been doing this for a while with school-aged children can offer some sage advice on what you've learned to make the day flow smoothly and maintain your sanity! I'm really looking forward to hearing from you all!
