Blog Tags for Finding Info

Since blogging is still a relatively new medium for disseminating information, we thought it might be useful to provide our readers with some tips on how to navigate it and find the information you are looking for most easily. Most of these tips will apply to just about any blog you read, but some may be specific to Transcription Talk.

We'll start this week with blog tags. At the bottom of each post you'll notice where it says "labels" and then a series of links after this. Some sites call them tags and other labels or something else. Either way, it's a useful way to find more information on a specific topic. If you click on a label or tag, it will take you to all of the posts that we have "tagged" with that label, thus providing you with more relevant info.

If you scroll down the page, you'll notice that in the left-hand column there is a list of all the labels that we have tagged posts with. This is a great way to find all the posts that we have done on a specific topic. For example, if you're looking for all of the posts we've done pertaining to macros, simply click on the "macros" label and have all relevant posts displayed on one page.

Now you can quickly and easily brush up on a specific topic!
